Brown agree on the vexed subject of prayer, on the necessity for order, discipline and work, thorough preparation and the only real key – habitual recollection (or collectedness, as Guardini's translator prefers to say). It is stimulating to find Mgr. Guardini insisting that real prayer to Christ consists "in dwelling in the relationship which He has established," and that all our prayer must be a seeking of the face of God.
